Catharine Ann Warner was born on 21 Jul 1851 in Overton, Chester, Wayne, Ohio to parents Thomas Warner and Christina Henninger.10
Here at Overton in Chester, Wayne, Ohio, Catharine grew up with her older sister Anna Maria and younger brother Simon Peter.11

After marriage, John and new wife Catharine make their home at Overton in Chester Township, next to Overton church, where John worked as a farmer. John & Catharine immediately became “parents” as John’s 10 year old sister Emma Alice Winkler moved in with the couple. Their neighbors include his brother David Todd Winkler & wife Rosanna, Catharine’s parents Thomas & Christina Warner, and brother Simon Peter Warner & wife Ida living four houses over.15
They started their own family officially in 1871 when son Thomas was born. Daughter Effie & son William would follow soon after and son Charles would round out the family in 1889.16

After father-in-law Thomas Warner passed away, JWW acquired the land, eventually sold off his existing land and moved onto the Warner property in Chester, just south-west of the Overton Church where he would retire and let son Charles take over the farming.18
Wooster Daily Record Obit (1942)John died on 18 Mar 1913 in Chester, Wayne, Ohio of “Paralysis of the Heart”.19 He was buried on 21 Mar 1913 at the Overton Church of God Cemetery in Chester Township, at Lot 2, Block 2, Grave 1.20
After her husband passed, Catharine lived at the family home in Chester Township with son Charles & brother-in-law Martin Luther Winkler who, over the next few years, maintained the family farm. A street name of Route 5 for the Chester Township residence is finally documented.21
Sometime between 1921, when son Charles marries22 (then passes away in 1922)23, and 1930, Catharine moved in with son Thomas & his wife Emma at 646 Nold Avenue in Wooster where she paid her son $15 in rent.24
Catharine died at the age of 91 on 24 Jan 1942 at the home of her daughter Effie Hartman, north of Jefferson in Plain, Wayne, Ohio. She passed away from Arteris-Sclerotic Heart Disease in what was ruled "Sudden Death".25
Catharine was buried on 27 Jan 1942 in Overton Church of God Cemetery in Chester Twp, Wayne, Ohio with her husband John.26
